2-Month Drug Enforcement Sweep Along Highway 90 Yields 26 Arrests, Major Charges

MOBILE, Ala. — A two-month targeted narcotics operation along the Highway 90 corridor has resulted in the arrest of 26 individuals on drug trafficking, distribution, possession, and active warrant charges, the Mobile Police Department announced.

The focused enforcement initiative, conducted by the Mobile Police Department’s Narcotics/Vice Unit from August through September 2026, was launched in direct response to repeated community complaints regarding street-level drug activity in the area.

Targeted Interdiction and Community Impact

Throughout the two-month operation, narcotics investigators carried out proactive traffic stops, targeted interdictions, and strategic investigative follow-ups. Police targeted both street-level drug dealers and buyers operating along Highway 90 and adjacent neighborhoods.

Department officials stated the initiative was designed to disrupt open-air drug sales, strengthen public safety, reduce secondary drug-related crimes, and restore community confidence along the commercial and transit corridor.
