MOBILE, Ala. – A 37-year-old man was fatally shot after police said he broke a window and unlawfully entered a home in West Mobile.
Mobile Police officers responded around 9:19 p.m. Sept. 7 to a reported shooting at a home in the 8300 block of Calgary Drive, near Leroy Stevens Road.
Officers found a man inside the residence suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead and later identified as David Lee Jr., 37.
Investigators determined that Lee had broken a window and entered the residence without permission before the male homeowner shot him, according to police.
Authorities did not release additional details about what happened inside the home before the shooting or identify the homeowner.
The case will be forwarded to the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office for review.
