ANNISTON, Ala. – A Calhoun County man has been sentenced to more than 10 years in federal prison after admitting to selling methamphetamine during three controlled drug buys.
U.S. District Judge Corey L. Maze sentenced Quinton Montral Gunn, 45, also known as “Poo Nanny,” to 126 months in prison. Gunn pleaded guilty in May to three counts of distribution of methamphetamine.
According to court documents, investigators used a confidential source to make three controlled purchases from Gunn in 2023 and 2024.
The first occurred Sept. 7, 2023, when the confidential source met Gunn at Parkwin Kitchen and purchased two ounces of methamphetamine for $500, prosecutors said.
On Oct. 6, 2023, the source met Gunn at a location on Parkin Avenue and purchased three ounces of methamphetamine for $675.
Investigators conducted a third controlled purchase Sept. 30, 2024, at Gunn’s residence in Anniston. Prosecutors said Gunn sold the confidential source three ounces of methamphetamine for $450.
In total, the three controlled transactions involved eight ounces of methamphetamine.
The Drug Enforcement Administration and the 7th Judicial Major Crimes Unit investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Brittany T. Byrd prosecuted the case.
