MOBILE, Ala. – A Mobile County Woman has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for trafficking fentanyl following an investigation that included a controlled drug purchase and multiple seizures of fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Chief U.S. District Judge Jeffrey U. Beaverstock sentenced Amanda Michelle Guy to 84 months in prison Sept. 14.
According to court documents, Mobile County Sheriff’s Office deputies and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency used a confidential informant to purchase 15.06 grams of fentanyl from Guy on Oct. 5, 2022.
Eight days later, authorities seized 18.08 grams of pure methamphetamine from a vehicle Guy was driving.
The investigation continued into 2023. On Jan. 26, Mobile County deputies went to a residence in the county to execute arrest warrants for Guy.
During the arrest, deputies searched a shed on the property and seized small quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl along with two digital scales used to weigh drugs, according to court documents.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and Mobile County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case.
